Joseph Calpito runs and manages SLES. Joseph holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with a major in Management, earned from Saint Louis University.

His foray into the dynamic world of the audiovisual (AV) meetings industry began as an AV Technical Officer at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore. During his tenure from February 2000 to May 2003, he played a pivotal role in an in-house AV team dedicated to meeting the technical needs of clients. Notably, with team efforts contributed to the recognition with the esteemed SQA - Singapore Quality Award in 2001, a testament to commitment to exceptional business practices and work processes.

In August 2003, Joseph took on the role of Director of Event Technology at PSAV (now Encore), a leading AV supplier for hotels across the US and Canada. Over his fourteen-year tenure (2003-2017) at PSAV, Joseph actively contributed to the success of various venues, including the Radisson Hotel Toronto Markham, Delta Markham, Edward Hotel Markham and North York, Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel, Sheraton Parkway, and Best Western Roehampton Suites.

Joseph’s efforts were acknowledged with awards such as the 2007 Award for Highest Net Operating Margin, the 2008 Award for Highest Gross Operating Margin, and the 2006 Award for Highest Revenue vs. Budget.

In July 2017, Joseph seized the opportunity to become a full-time Technical Sales Manager at the Edward Hotel Group subsequently with the Sunray Group, where he managed multi-hotel operations until August 2018.

Driven by a desire to create a unique and alternative source for event technology needs, Joseph founded the startup at SLES in September 2018.  Joseph's passion in providing Event Technology support - particularly in Livestream Broadcasting and DMX Stage Lighting to a diverse range of clients, from associations and community concert festivals to church groups.  The SLES Instagram page serves as a visual testament to the high-quality AV services and memorable event experiences have consistently delivered over the years.
